Get a free pair of contact lenses at Mackey Opticians to try for up to one month

If you want to try contact lenses for the first time, or want to try a different type of contact lens, then see Mackey Opticians first. You may experiencing vision problems with your current contact lenses or want a more comfortable make or design.

Your optometrist at Mackey Opticians will be happy to give you a free pair of disposable soft contact lenses, plus any solutions that you may need, to try for up to one month.

Our disposable soft lenses include daily disposable contact lenses or ones that you may wear for a fortnight or one month. They may also include lenses for astigmatism or for reading, or even ones that you might sleep in overnight. The type decided upon will depend on your prescription, your lifestyle and visual requirements.

Our staff at Mackey Opticians will be very happy to help show you how to put your new contact lenses in and out, and to explain how to care for your contact lenses. This must not be rushed so that you feel very confident in looking after them - please allow up to one hour for your first contact lens collection.

Unfortunately we cannot give free trials of a few more specialised types of contact lenses - hard gas permeable lenses and Ortho-K lenses. Some very high prescriptions in soft contact lenses have to be custom produced and may also not be available on a trial basis. Please ask for details.

You may have to pay for an eye examination and contact lens fitting/recheck - this fee will include your first contact lens recheck after you have worn the contact lenses for your trial period. Please remember to come in wearing your trial contact lenses when you come for your re-check.
